Let’s Talk About It!
Valentine’s Day Printables Bookmarks
This Valentine’s bookmark template was made in Canva. Each bookmark is 1.5″ x 4.5″ with eight on an 8.5″ x 11″ template.
The easiest way is to make one design and just use the copy button to place each one in the next sequence. You can also just copy a blank one and make different styles.
I do have the paid version of Canva, but I used the free version of Hearts graphics for this project. I also used the font “League Spartan” and used the effects of making the letters outlined. I placed a single heart on the top middle to punch a hole in if wanted to attach ribbon, twine, or cord for more decoration.
I recommend that the bookmarks to printed out on a cardstock or if using plain printer paper, to laminate once colored in. Either way, you will come up with some great Valentine’s Day exchange bookmarks.
If using it as a Valentine’s Day exchange bookmark, have your child write the to and from on the backside.
Another idea is to hand them out plain and attach a few crayons to each bookmark for the recipient to color. How fun!
I will be giving some to my granddaughter to hand out to her playmates this year.
Valentine’s Day Printables Candy Bar Wrappers
Who doesn’t love a good Hershey Bar for Valentine’s Day? This template will fit a 1.55 or 1.75 oz. candy bar.
I grew up 30 minutes from Hershey, Pa. With that said, my parents worked for the local chocolate company, Wilbur Chocolate. I will say, that a Wilbur candy bar was better, but that didn’t stop me from eating a Hershey Bar! Sadly, Wilbur Chocolate, now called Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate stopped producing many candy bars but their Wilbur Buds are still being made and you have got to try them!
But I digress. Chocolate is my passion. I am a chocolate snob. I only eat chocolate ice cream, and chocolate cake. (I shouldn’t really be eating any of that, but, you know, it tastes yummy)
Back to business. To make the candy bar wrapper in Canva, you will need to use the 8.5″ x 11″ size located under custom size.
Under elements, you will want to click on shapes and then the square shape. You will then resize that square shape to 5.5″ x 5.5″ and place it directly in the center/middle of the page.
Click duplicate and resize that copy to 5.5″ x 2.4″. Place that one directly in the center of the first one and change the color. From that copy the duplicate and resize it to 5.5″ x 0.3″ move down to the bottom of the first square you made and type the words “Glue Here”
You know have your template. Save that template for future candy bar wrappers you may want to make!
From this template, you will want your main focus on the middle section you created which was 5.5″ x 2.4″. Change up the colors, type words, and add graphics, and design to your heart’s content.
I will be making a live tutorial on this in the future, but you should get the gist if you are familiar with Canva. If not, I encourage you to create a free account and play around with it.
Meanwhile, enjoy this Valentine’s Day printables candy bar wrapper!
Candy bar wrappers templates would be a great addition to your party supply products. Include it as a customizable addition if you are a printable seller.
Valentine’s Day Printables Word Scramble
Who doesn’t love a good word scrambler? This one can be used for people of all ages. There are many templates already uploaded on Canva and all you need to do is make it your own. Change the graphics, the wording, the font, and colors.
This is one of the things I love about Canva. There are so many different styles of templates available and you just need to follow the criteria above. It isn’t cool to take someone else’s work and call it your own.
You need to change it around so it does not look like the original, or just make your own. The one above is my own.
(I am on the entertainment committee for my little village, and in each months newsletter, I put in some sort of puzzle to return and one gets chosen for a little prize.)
The only way I can justify leaving as is would be IF it is for personal use. For me, though, I love to create templates this way I know that it is mine and I am not taking credit for other’s hard work.
Word Scramblers are a great addition to any printable game sets you may want to create for personal use or to sell.
Valentine’s Day Printables Coloring Page
Valentine’s Day printables of coloring pages are fun and super easy to make!
Once again you will create a design using 8.5″ x 11″. This size is used since this is the size of printing paper most people use.
I used the same font as the bookmarks and the same effects using the hollow effect. From there it was easy peasy! Just grab some free elements that are black lined and resize as needed for each area of your project.
Think of all the different types of coloring pages you can make. Holidays, birthdays, just for fun, farm animals, jungle animals, the list can go on and on.
If you have the ability to draw on your iPad or Tablet, you can easily create these little graphics to create your very own hearts etc.
If making coloring books to sell, for instance on KDP, you will want to read the guidelines on borders, margins, print bleed, etc.
Valentine’s Day Printables Color By Number
Super fun and easy. Once again, 8.5″ x 11″. I made a white border around this one so I had room to put the crayons with the numbered colors.
The rest of it is all lines and shapes and numbers! You can get more technical, but for the younger kids, simple is best.
You could also make this in Powerpoint and Google docs, but Canva is my preference.
All of these Valentine’s Day printables are super easy to make. All you need is a creating platform and an imagination.
Other types of Valentine’s Day printables you can make are Valentine’s Day cards, classroom exchange cards, lollipop holders, gift tags, teacher cards, etc.
